Monitoring of Results
To avoid:
- Too few teams in some divisions which lead to teams playing against the same opponents again and again as in the Scottish Premier League
- Too many teams in a division where the converse is true, but more importantly the range of standards is very broad, and weaker teams may only play against stronger opposition
It was agreed with all the age group reps that we would start "Monitoring the Results" of matches between teams. This centres around the collation of results by the respective age group reps for each division. Each half season the age group reps will work together to analyse the results and recommend appropriate changes to the divisions. The overall purpose is to eliminate the need for managers to decide which division they feel their team is best placed. There is no automatic relegation or promotion, but suggested moves between divisions would be published on the web for team managers to consider in the run up to a General Meeting, after which the fixtures will be generated and published on the web site. The results are not published, and do not go beyond the age group reps and the committtee. |
